The Petaluma River Park is holding a volunteer work party on Saturday, October 22 form 10am-2:00pm focusing on winterization of frequently used areas off the main trail. We will be using leftover material from the main trail construction to create temporary paths to the tip of the peninsula, as well as the picnic table areas. Activities will include weed pulling, dirt moving, shoveling and raking. The materials used in this project will all be loose, and no heavy alterations of existing ground will be necessary. If you would like to participate but need a lighter task, please feel free to contact us as there may be other options suited perfectly for you!
